The Norwegian Coastal Fishermen’s Association is an independent, democratic and politically non-aligned professional organization for Norwegian coastal fishers. The Norwegian Coastal Fishermen’s Association stands on the side of coastal fishers to safeguard our professional, social, economic and cultural rights. Through legal assistance and continuous competence development, we work to strengthen and future-proof the coastal fishing fleet. The Norwegian Coastal Fishermen’s Association works to ensure that Norwegian fishery resources are primarily prioritized to secure jobs, activity and growth in coastal communities. The segment of the fleet that delivers fresh fish must be given priority, and the allocation of resources must be directed toward the coastal fleet, not toward increased concentration of fishing rights and profits at the expense of quality, efficient resource utilization and coastal communities.
