Tisu\u0107e malih ribara s niskim utjecajem diljem Europe pozvale su na ukidanje nepravednih subvencija i kvota koje poti\u010du prekomjerni izlov, visoke stope prilova, odbacivanja i emisija, \u0161to rezultira lo\u0161im uvjetima za sektor. Ka\u017eu da bi, ako bi se umjesto toga potaknuli mali ribari s niskim utjecajem, to moglo podr\u017eati vi\u0161e radnih mjesta, pobolj\u0161ati prirodu i zaustaviti pad sektora.<\/span><\/p>\n

Delegacija malih ribara, nevladinih organizacija i tvrtke za aktivnosti na otvorenom Patagonia, koja je pismo dostavila u Bruxelles, nagla\u0161ava da bi dodjela ribolovnih mogu\u0107nosti na temelju dru\u0161tvenih i ekolo\u0161kih kriterija, a ne koli\u010dine ulova i povijesti, pomogla u izravnavanju onoga \u0161to je trenutno \u201ciskrivljeno more\u201d, favoriziraju\u0107i velike interese s velikim utjecajem. \u201cNedovoljna provedba \u010dlanka 17. Akcija \u201cU\u010dinimo ribolov pravednim\u201d dolazi u vrijeme kada lobiji agroindustrije i velikog ribarstva protive se ekolo\u0161kim politikama i obnovi prirode kao \u2018anti-poslovnim\u2019. U\u010dinimo ribolov pravednim zna\u010di pravedno postupanje prema ribarima, morskom okoli\u0161u i \u0161irem dru\u0161tvu,<\/span> i nudi konstruktivniji pristup.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cUmjesto da suprotstavljaju ribarske poslove za\u0161titi mora potrebnoj za odr\u017eavanje ribljih populacija, mali ribari s niskim utjecajem pokazuju da mogu podr\u017eati i egzistenciju i morski okoli\u0161.
