This one-day event will bring together small-scale fishers from across Europe with policymakers, scientists, and NGOs to address urgent challenges facing the sector.

The Forum aims to strengthen unity among fishers, grow support for small-scale fisheries, and ensure their voices remain central in EU policy discussions in the lead up to the small-scale fisher implementation dialogues.

The morning will be closed off to small-scale fishers. The afternoon session, will create a space for multi-stakeholder dialogue, and for the small-scale fisher delegation to present their Roadmap to Make Fishing Fair. It will feature:

An address by Commissioner Costas Kadis, or representative, on the current policy context and Commission priorities.

A panel of small-scale fishers presenting regional policy priorities and Calls to Action.

A multi-stakeholder panel discussion with representatives from DG MARE, Members of the European Parliament, NGOs, and scientists to explore shared priorities and opportunities for cooperation.

Interactive Q&A sessions and networking opportunities with fishers and other stakeholders.
