As industrial fishing operations expand, low-impact, small-scale fishers — who make up 90% of the world’s fishers — are increasingly being pushed to the margins. This 50-minute documentary, produced by ZED, takes audiences on a journey from the coasts of Europe to West Africa, spotlighting the challenges faced by small-scale fishing communities.
Through the voices of fishers, scientists, advocates, and policymakers, the film asks critical questions about equity, sustainability, and the future of our oceans.
After the screening, join us for a 25-minute live Q&A with small-scale fishers as part of the Make Fishing Fair campaign, who will share their insights on how policy decisions are affecting their communities and what meaningful change could look like.
